Good day,

In March going to have four years, I reminded my Mcpl about it ( He didn't know anything ) and he seems to think that the promotion

will come automatically and no paperwork needs to be done. I am fairly certain that there has to be some paperwork for the promotion

from pte to cpl. Can anyone point me to where I am point my Mcpl to find some info on that?

Cheers

The paperwork should not be started by the member. The supervisor should check with the Chief Clerk and ensure that proper steps are taken should the member in question be:

a. eligible for promotion;
b. qualified for promotion; and
c. recommended by the CO for promotion.

Four years service is not a guarantee of promotion to Cpl.

Not to mention:

d.      Medically fit for promotion; and
e.      Having pasted the Physical Fitness requirements.

I wish some of the newer CF members understood that.
