Replacing the Subs

I thought we liked the Aussies lol. That doesnt seem like much help to me
Well they seem to have a thing about poorly thought out sub deals, so why shouldn't we get some of the action? Plus the sonars and periscopes will be almost new. That is if we get the Korean subs. If we go German , we will be using them for quite sometime.

If they don't want to keep a fully intact one, taking a cross-section slice out of one would make for a very educational display.

The tank room at the National War Museum might have space. 😁
Put it beside the Iroquois bow... Just a nice collection of ship parts hanging out there.

We had 1/3 scale full cut-away modules of the Victoria Class as a Full Length engineering display model. Not one museum in the country was interested in them.

Very respectfully, why would we want to preserve their legacy ? What has the class accomplished ?
Kept us in the submarine game without having that skill set evaporate/vanish, hopefully long enough for a small core of submariners to grow to the 12 sub size that we need.

Its one of the main reasons we got Asterix when we did, to ensure we didn't loose the skills for RAS from the supplying ship side.

The RCN came very close to losing two skilled communities that took a long time and a lot of hard earned experience to develop. It just boggles the mind.

One to join the Ojibwa and one to join the Onondaga, perhaps. Having them side by side and touring them one after the other would provide an interesting perspective on technological changes.

The People of Port Burwell would never allow it. Apparently they are pretty pissed about the Ojibwa and how much it ended up costing the municipality.
