People who have been on tcat for injury did you ever request a early reassessment? If so what did that involve and look like for you

You can request a reassment at anytime. The MO may make you wait X number of months before seeing you and reassessing you, or might talk to you on the phone and take you off TCat immediately.

Depends on the doctor and your reasons.

As someone that put people on categories for an injury, you'd need/I'd want to see (well, really should have) to demonstrate that the issue has in fact resolved objectively, whether physio reports as well as a physical examination +/- specialist report if you'd seen one/needed surgery or non-surgical management.

I appreciate the reply and what better person to ask this to, What would you conclude for a herniated disc? these issues never really resolve but im still operational I just need to be careful in what I do day to day heavy lifting wise to avoid further injury, im hoping to switch to a admin type trade. As for resolution of this issue I talked with the surgeon I was referred to and he said I'm extremely young to get a surgery for this and I should pursue less invasive treatment at the moment which I am and I'm holding off on surgery as long as I can as it wasn't suggested as absolutely needed right now. But I'm stable nothing is getting worse and I'm managing on my own following pyiso suggested movements etc and it was deemed by physio I'd no longer need to see them because I'm so diligent in what I'm doing.

Honestly this career means everything to me, I love the CAF and want to stay serving, I'm young, healthy other then this one issue and can still perform duties as needed.

I wouldn't try and get back to full duties if you're not able to - your body doesn't really forgive or forget after a certain age. Keep with therapy and gradually increase your ability to lift. If you've still got time on the category, use it to get as good as you can get.

Solid advice thank you very much. Do you know how a possible pcat that's low risk would affect a trade change?

Remember that as an admin type trade, you may be tasked anytime to do heavy lifting.. Loading stores on ship, lifting boat trailers off hitches, hauling lines alongside, and moving equipment as directed between spaces. These examples are all tasks I had to complete at various times through my admin type career. At a bare minimum, you will be expected to be able to lift boxes of paper. Any of these tasks have the potential for exacerbating your condition. MM's advice to work at improving your health is the best advice for long term QOL.
