TKMS Type 212CD (Victoria class replacement megathread)

A naming convention I know they wouldn’t adopt because they are too cowardly to name things after people, but I think would have some merit would be to name them after some of the RCN fallen.
Why do you think this? The RCN have named the Harry DeWolf-class offshore patrol vessels after people who served on RCN vessels, such as HMCS Harry DeWolf, HMCS Margaret Brooke, and HMCS Frédérick Rolette.

It’s a bit ironic that get our nickers in a twist about what to name our warships so as to not offend anyone but yet these same warships are expected to kill and maim our enemies at will…..

“Today HMCS Diversity successfully sank 2 Chinese frigates resulting in the complete loss of life of both crews. The crew of HMCS Diversity was welcomed back to Esquimalt to cheering crowds of joyous Canadians. Bravo Zulu HMCS Diversity!”

The army threads all seem to devolve into reorg conversations. The navy ones always end up arguing about ship names! Lol

I think most if the post game analysis on the sub program is probably done at this point. Tune in next for contract agreement in 6-12 months (I expect it to be done in Nov or early Jan, just a guess no inside info).

Very exciting and happy to see this moving. Now I'm turning my interest to other things. RCN has a lot of pieces moving now.

Between 12 subs and up to 20 CDCs, if we don't finally get an HMCS Hamilton, well the world just ain't fair.
