That poll is clear the Canadians who don't want Canadians to own guns also want Canadians with guns to fight and die for them with guns.

Among others, yeah.I suspect the skew in results for conservatives reflects a concentration of the minority of Canadians who want to be annexed by Americans.
Fair statementBlair, a "lefty"? As the leader who was the face (and prime mover) of "New Labour", he was far from being the stereotypical trade union socialist of the "old" Labour Party. More aptly, a 'new school lefty' - from the right (i.e., posh) schools - in other words, a centrist.

So, apparently, Trump had the Stanley Cup winning team over at the White House yesterday, and did some ribbing that a US team beat Canada and kept the Cup in the US for the 32nd year in a row, vs Canada and they like beating Canada.
Of course, being polite (like all Canadians), nobody pointed out to him that, out of 27 players on that roster, only four were Americans, while 12 were Canadians and 11 were from four different European countries (including four from Finland, same number as Americans on the team, from a country basically 1/60th the population of the USA).
So much for the US beating Canada.

Each of the non-American players should have wore a flag lapel pin from their country. It would have been pretty obvious then. So, apparently, Trump had the Stanley Cup winning team over at the White House yesterday, and did some ribbing that a US team beat Canada and kept the Cup in the US for the 32nd year in a row, vs Canada and they like beating Canada.

US ‘negotiating’ is starting to morph into the Russian style…bracket hard past anything reasonable and on the other side of the bracket feign blindness to one’s own weakness and vulnerability. There may be no trade deal with the EU (no word on the UK yet) by Monday. Also featuring an incredibly tone deaf response by U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, who also had some comments recently on our own deal with China.

Growing sense of embarrassment at Fifa over Donald Trump peace prize
There is a growing sense of embarrassment among mid-level and senior officials within Fifa over the awarding of the peace prize to Donald Trumpwww.theguardian.com
That's what you get when you let an A-hole at the top of your organization (andFantinoInfantino is an A-hole) create a phony prize out of tin air and without any criteria, just so he can ingratiate himself with another A-hole at the top of another organization.
Sure. We need to expect and to be prepared for that. No other country is more clearly within his self-asserted hegemonic sphere than Canada. This is why it’s so bloody essential we show solidarity with NATO and Europe and commit to being part of the deployments to Greenland. We need them and the economic pressure they can exert to be on our side when - not if - we’re next in the hot seat.
For sure, and the shift to arctic operations definitely is going that way. However I feel at this point we could have 3 divisions in the arctic full time and the Trump administration would still complain its not enough.Sure. We need to expect and to be prepared for that.
