US Presidential Election 2024 - Trump vs Harris - Vote Hard with a Vengence

90% returns, with a majority for Trump, Nevada is won. That puts him past 270. With AZ & MICH, still trending red.

Gotta wait til it's announced, but it looks like Trump won.

Im a little befuddled that it hasn't been called already...

It's most definitely good for private enterprise and business, my business as well. Going to be bad for the Public Service though....

Time will tell.

This news for me is the popular vote, which Trump also won.

That tells me the Dems screwed the pooch hard by leaving Biden in too long and then using Harris as the new boss.

This is a sound rejection of the people and policies the Dems stood for an put forth.

With an eye towards looking at our own backyard. Our house is at a point of time where the minority parties surrounding the liberals won't support them for very much longer. If an election is triggered here, or even the regular election date next year occurs. It is unlikely that Trudeau survives. Poilievre's platform, and baseline politics might align well with the Trump administration.

Not going to say that I called it yesterday. But I firmly believe what I said held true. Much of this election result can be attributed to an undercurrent of institutional racism, and sexism in the US. Many of the news outlets are identifying how Trump resonated with men. Polls don't mean Jack, it's what happens in that voting booth that matters. And people know that it's a secret ballot. They often vote their conscience, but more often will vote against what they don't want.

The next 4 years are going to be interesting.

Trudeau is done like dinner. Canadians and even portions of his own caucus, are sick of him.

I have money riding on it.

Listened to clip of fmr Ambassador John Bolton, who was also President Trump's Security Advisor and he said the Dems lost the chance in 2023 when they should have put forward someone else besides Biden.

Any way, as the old Chinese curse goes, "May you live in interesting times."

Yah I noted that.... absolutely wild. He also has won the popular vote for the first time and won by a bigger margin than 2016.
I was fully prepared to eat my words! I was wrong.

But holy fuck I did not expect to be this wrong.
