No. Some believed it was propaganda and paranoia by detractors. It was posted so he could be shown saying it himself. No propaganda or paranoia. Carney said it.

Even seeing him say it himself won't count to those that refuse to grasp it, refuse to watch the clip, refuse to believe their own ears and eyes or just like being blindly partisan to anything contrary to their belief.

When it comes to politicians some might see it as potential for a conflict of interest.

You and I both have some Conservative and Liberal opinions (or so I think). Yet we're not allowed to be official members of both political parties.

Carney dropped his environmental plan this morning and it seems very balanced, only one environmental assessment per project, which he appears to downloading to the provinces instead of federally. Reading the articles it sounds like while it was positive on his stance against Americas trade war, on other issues and his character they are attacking him

I suspect this is the deeper problem the US administration has with Canada that is being kept out of public consumption. I also guess there is back channel dialogue on this specific subject and if Canada can effectively severe itself from this problem we would see a much more positive outcome with the US. The problems however are the past, current, and potentially future regime was/is/and may remain willingly tied to the CCP while feigning ignorance. And I don't think the US will tolerate this.

This is just another reason to shut Carney out of parliament and decimate the liberal party.

Any dealings with China should be limited to a very narrow trade policy. No joint ventures, no investment, no students. No more real estate sales and no more banking privileges.

I criticized the fact Canada was getting too friendly with The Panda Empire. It was a short sighted move to line the pockets of a few.

Yup, been saying it for years. They simply can't be trusted to respect other sovereign nations when there is something they want. They aren't beyond using criminal means to reach their goals. Any country that enslaves another civilization like the Uyghurs, ensnared them into forced labour, should be a world pariah and not allowed into any sort of civilised discussion or agreements. Never mind things like welding the doors of their own citizens shut to ensure pandemic lockdown compliance. Or the fact that they released covid on the world and refuse to take responsibility for it.

Of course, that last point can be laid partially at our feet. After all, it was the liberals who let them into our highly secure biolab to steal viruses and take them back to Wuhan.
