Is it really disinformation? We have multiple CPC candidates who have been against abortion, and the campaign for life endorsement of Pierre Poilievre. I would classify as misinformation rather than disinformation. The CPC has also spent the last week making up imaginary taxes they say Carney will introduce, now claiming at the 11th hour carney is in bed with Trump? That's laughable, then to top of the desperation, Brian lilly posted a cropped still image from Carney rally trying to make it look like he was giving a nazi salute.

Can a person be anti abortion and not feel the need to impose that on others ?

Another interview with Ford where he doesn't really hold back much. Definitely a good chance now he might be coming for PP's job, or at the very least ready to throw support behind any Progressive Conservative that tries. He also seems to be laying a chunk of the blame on... Jenni Byrne.

Big claims require big evidence - the other side of that coin is: what proof do you have that they are in bed together?

That's actually a somewhat more reasonable question to ask - but similar questions would be reasonable to PP about things he would do differently once he sees the books as PM, too.

Being vocally critical of Pierre Poilievre, Jenni Byrne, and the direction of the current iteration of the CPC does not make one ABC.

But putting dissenters into that box is a damn convenient way of avoiding thinking about alternative opinion.

I mean the biggest example is Carney lying about Trump respecting our sovereignty in his March phone call. Made Carney look like the guy who could beat Trump. Every single Liberal ad has a mention of Trump, hes the boogeyman to distract from 10 years of failed policies. Tons of Liberal voters are now gaslit to believe Carney is "change" despite his policies being almost lockstep with Trudeau, and his cabinet almost identical.

That doesn’t address my questions at all. I asked about the ‘Trump strawman’, whether you think Trump doesn’t mean what he says about Canada, and whether Carney has said anything about Trump that’s inconsistent with Trump’s own words.

Trump bringing up the 51st state during the call doesn’t mean Carney lied about or misrepresented the call. He described what they arrived at, which includes the U.S. saying we’ll sit down as independent nations and hammer out some agreements after the election. Trump stating one thing aspirationally that he thinks some Canadians may want does not mean that in the totality he didn’t end on a point that recognizes and respects our sovereignty. Bilateral negotiations are consistent with that.

So again, what Trump ‘strawman’ do you content the LPC have brought up? Despite a more collegial result of that one call, he absolutely has continued to push the 51st state bullshit, he has kept hitting us with fictitious grievances, and he has economically attacked us with tariffs. I’m curious what potential threats from the U.S. you think the Liberals have been dishonest about.

I think you believe supporters of Carney the LPC on here are "ABC" simply because of the amount that we "defend" Carney/The LPC and how much we "attack" PP and the CPC. But that's not because we are ABC, but because we are just filling a role on this site as providing both the desenting opinion and calling out BS (as we see it) in conservative arguments.

I would add that if someone is truly pro choice they should not demonize those that choose a pro life stance.

The issue is legislating and criminalizing that choice.

And agreed that it is a dead subject. And it needs to stay that way.

Trust me I know. I have some very liberal views. But because I like responsible small gov, personal firearm ownership and I'm pro life; I have no home on the left anymore.

I almost always voted left until up to; and including JTs first win in 2015. Then its like the LPC did everything they could make sure I would never vote left again.
