Crazy to me to read the article and there may be some kind of underlying staffing thing because Jenny Byrne previously worked in the Ford office and got fired? I imagine there probably was some back room push to get the fed CPC to try and adjust the messaging after Trudeau stepped down before they eventually went public. This total falling apart should be studied by the party if they ever want to get elected again; they relied way too heavily in 'don't vote for that guy, he sucks' and seems to have fallen apart when Trudeau left.

Her time with the Ontario PCs was only a small part of her political/political-adjacent career (2018-2020). She strikes me as hyper-partisan and is a power groupie. Wiki has a pretty decent summary of her background.

Generally the West goes blue except for segments of Manitoba....there are some diehard Dippers here and hard core Libs.
Can't see any Libs being elected in Alberta.

My hope now: LPC is held to a minority, and either:

• PP's replacement* is less adversarial and can work across the aisle to influence said minoroty
• Absent the above, there enough moderate CPC MP's willing to risk being thrown out of caucus to break ranks on confidence motions and prop up said minority for concessions

Don't want an LPC majority, don't want the bloc or NDP holding undue leverage as kingmakers
