I am not tracking any current active hearing protection having integrated ballistic protection. Can the attached hearing protection (I am assuming it's electronic) have a layer of protective material to provide some ballistic protection from shrapnel?

Not practically. Can the attached hearing protection (I am assuming it's electronic) have a layer of protective material to provide some ballistic protection from shrapnel?
3000 set with an option for more seems like a lot. Oh well I’ll retire with the tac vest I suppose. For DICE they when they say Dismounted they are talking about the regular force infantry 3rd battalions
It may end up being a great fishing vest after you retire though...so I mean, it could end up being good for something ...3000 set with an option for more seems like a lot. Oh well I’ll retire with the tac vest I suppose.
Remember some of the propaganda about how great they were? Like the bioscience guys saying the TacVest was designed to stay on your body if you step on an IED.(Still can't believe we had roto after roto of folks deploying to one of the most active combat zones on Earth at the time, with combat as their mission set, wearing tac vests...)

Treat yourself to one of these. It's like wearing a warm hug - just don't tell the bad guys who owns the company.

I wanted to punch several of them in the head. Especially when they kept telling us we where reloading wrong and it was is that were the issue, not that it was a non viable ergonomic mess.Remember some of the propaganda about how great they were? Hard to beat a JPC2…Treat yourself to one of these. It's like wearing a warm hug - just don't tell the bad guys who owns the company.

I would guess that SOCEM would have to have another bid competition, and that LU would bid this system for that contract.
…whilst wearing these…@KevinB the people who said the tac vest was built right are the same people who were obsessed about the need to dig while wearing a frag vest.
I’m issued a TYR Pico right now. I meant more in general.
Are you being allowed to run it with plates in it and no frag vest, or is it the frag vest with the PC over top?
I know 3 div has issued a directive for non issued vests, its okay as long as it fits certain criteria. Great for reg force. As a reserve CSS, as much as it hate the current fishing vest, my wife would kill me if i dropped 500 on a rig.I’m issued a TYR Pico right now. I meant more in general.
