Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

I agree it should be a hard no, but lets be real, that money is going straight to Trump to use as he see's fit, he won't give any kind of assurance. Nor do I think we should sit on a peace board with Russia who is still waging a war of aggression on Ukraine.
Exactly. So Carney shouldn't dick around and just be forthcoming like France.

Id go further and to send a message we cut US companies out of major procurement for the remainder of the trump admin. Let's mean business, Korean's could have us a battalion of tanks, and SPGs within 12 months. If we wanna talk about middle powers stepping up, then lets step up

I don't know.

Great speech and all but Carney needs to put his money where his mouth is (which is actually our money). Carney talks about the old ways being dead and us adapting to new this and that, then he props Trump up by deciding to maybe pay Trumps $1billion dollar Gaza Peace Board entrance fee?

"if his government receives assurances that the funding will go directly to Palestinians."
Carney leaves door open to paying fee to join Trump’s Gaza 'Board of Peace'

We're trusting Trump assurances now? Trusting Trump to all of a sudden act like a serious world leader? Same guy throwing a tantrum and talking about subjugating a NATO territory because he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize?

We need to copy France's response with a hard no.
Or he is savvy enough to know that there is no point right now in rubbing salt on the wound. I can't see any circumstances where we pay any money, as ministers of the Crown have already stated.

I also suspect that there will be a sudden turn of events or proposal or what have you, if only so the market can rebound and all the toadies and ollies can cash in on the bounce....

One cannot be a member of the Conservative Party if you are a member of another party.
Yea but f*** the parties and their rules about that (the LPC has the same rule). This is a pluralistic country that believes in an honourable opposition; I should be able to have a say in both who I want to lead the country in both government and opposition (so long as you are doing it honestly and not simply trying to rat-f***k the process).

Would it be rat-f**king the process to try to ensure the horrible leader the CPC has remains their leader?

Interesting. Goes against the old Youth = Liberal and Aged = Conservative theory.

But then again the whole world seems to be upside down now... And voting intentions can and will change and evolve. Hell I voted mostly LPC and NDP up until 2015.

It's simple: young people are stupid. In the past the LPC was a stupid vote, and now the CPC is a stupid vote :P.

What I'm seeing with all these polls is that if Canada is attacked and the government "calls up" citizens to answer it's going to be 55+ year olds who are better educated, have more mental health illnesses, are anti-gun ownership, and are coming to the parade square in St-Jean from the city.

That's awesome.
