Canadian modular assault rifle project, a C7 replacement?

Fouling will be in issue - and Copper solvents will need to be used to keep the barrel from build ups that will cause dangerous pressures.
Lead to the rescue!

Probably not, but we know it works. There are some alternatives out there.

Poland has a version of their service rifle specifically for their equivalent of Ceremonial Guard, with a number of differences to make it more parade friendly. Maybe we could develop a parade C7.

Or we go classic and pull out the Lee Enfield for ceremonial drill

Or better yet, C1A1.
Or we could just strap the damn thing across the chest, like the French, and never move it from there throughout the parade.

Or... we could just do carbine drill like we're supposed to.

Alternatively, we could gather some of the AR-15's collected through the 'assault style weapons compensation program' make them up into dummy rifles and use those instead of rubber guns.

Thoughts?

(Said VERY tongue in cheek....no civvie has 2 of the same rifle let alone a few hundred in the same configuration.)
