That's kind of how I see it.

Continued reduction in the PS, loss of summer jobs held by Students and manufacturing jobs held onto and returned a decent gain.

I'd like to take a bit more time and look into the number that I've always thought had more meaning, 'labour participation rate'. It was 65.1% last time I checked.

Would also like to see if the August number for the US break out manufacturing numbers.

Found the US August numbers:

Restaurants and bars led with 59,000 new jobs, while government education rose by 42,000 and manufacturing contributed 16,000. Health care, the primary engine of job growth, saw a gain of just 13,000, compared with the monthly average of 32,000 over the prior 12 months.

When comparing to our 22,000 manufacturing job gains for August vs the 16,000 for the US - we clearly outperformed them in August on this issue. Remember folks, 340m vs 41m.

This is exactly why the administration wanted a veto on our trade deals. They wanted to firmly subordinate our economy to theirs while using our market to attract more better deals for themselves.

If so, I'd like to hope that the 2 of them can find an hour to sit down as adults and talk about our trade issues and get back on track in a sensible outcome that allows us both to be seen as 'winners.' But he's going to have to listen to the business people that are standing behind every industry in the US and are saying 'wtf'. These quiet voices in the background will chatter louder and louder and they will be the one's that help in forcing his hand.

Perhaps we should also be looking at a plan for dealing with J.D. Vance. If the pollsters end up being correct and the Dems take total control of Congress there will be a significant amount of pressure put on Trump to step down. Also he will be labelled a loser and I don't think his ego will accept the title. And finally, if he gets Vance to agree to a blanket pardon for all his numerous sins his legal problems will vanish and he will be able to enjoy his golf courses rather than sitting in a courtroom for the next 5 years.

Sources say some ministers are unaccustomed to this type of “report card” metric and are worried about the appearance of a lack of progress, and what implications that may have for their department in the budget, describing the process as “more than a little chaotic.”

Two sources close to ministers tell CTV News some staff are “panicked,” and there is a widespread sentiment that this kind of practice is further evidence of the prime minister running government like a CEO.

A third source close to a minister said ministerial staff think the progress reports could help inform a cabinet shuffle, though one government source tells CTV News one isn’t planned before next week.

He has previous firearms charges from a couple years ago. Smells like gang involved to me. I won’t speculate as to why he was involved torching cars at an MP’s house; could be utterly mundane normal criminality unrelated to the MP, or could be crime for hire targeting her… Investigators will have fun with it. Seems they knew who they were looking for though.

I am increasingly of the opinion that he doesn’t plan on leaving the White House unless it’s in a gold casket. There’s a reason why he is fixated on building his fuhrerbunker and Liberace Versailles.
