Is it really disinformation? We have multiple CPC candidates who have been against abortion, and the campaign for life endorsement of Pierre Poilievre. I would classify as misinformation rather than disinformation. The CPC has also spent the last week making up imaginary taxes they say Carney will introduce, now claiming at the 11th hour carney is in bed with Trump? That's laughable, then to top of the desperation, Brian lilly posted a cropped still image from Carney rally trying to make it look like he was giving a nazi salute.
One party looks desperate right now, and it's not the liberals.
What strawman on Trump? What has Trump said about Canada that you don’t think he means? What has Carney said about Trump that isn’t consistent with Trump’s own words?

Huge mandate. Never been a mandate like it. Every Canadian in every province said "Sir, we want you to be our president. You'd be the best president Canada ever had."
It’s an interesting fantasy to think that maple maga types or even soft trump supporters here will flock to vote red because the fear mongering about carney bending to trumps would accelerate their desire to be closer and more like the USA.

My CPC candidate (and incumbent) is one of those which makes voting a difficult thing for me. That Ford article up above was a bit of an eye opener.

I stand to lose about $10,000 in guns if Carney gets in and the province and the northern communities will suffer another 4 years with less and less work. Bill C-69 really gutted our ability to get resource to market, Carney is going to build on that "Success" and Canada will be that much more of a vassal state. But his bosses in the Liberal power structure will benefit, so they don't care. Carney's only job is to keep the Liberals in power, not to make Canada a better place.

- You suggest it's laughable that Carney and Trump are in bed together. Why is that laughable?

I was flabbergasted by PPs failure to connect at a very deep level with the Conservative premier of the most populous province in the country.
I think Ford is bang on when he said that there are 4 or 5 types of Conservatives in the country. I primarily group them into two fields - the Reform Conservative and the Progressive Conservative Conservatives. It was bad divorce when the PC party split and a bad marriage when they got back together. There's no solution to it. The issues that divide them are fundamental. It's a bit like what divides the Liberals from the NDP. Each of them have a hard core element that remains true regardless, and a middle group that swings from one side to the other from time to time.
I have to admit I'm a bit ambivalent as to the outcome of this election. A lot of my support is defence oriented and neither party/leader has made any commitment that satisfies me. I've always been dubious that PP would be able to create the type of Federal/Provincial unity needed at this time but at the same time concerned that Carney will just be the tool of the same old Liberal cabal that has screwed up the country for the last decade. With Trudeau gone there is an opportunity for a new game - if they want to.

I contend that our choice may not be effectively any better than Trump-Harris, as far as choices that could reasonably be seen to move Canada forward to a new, internationally vibrant, participative and resilient position in trade and politics.

I mean the biggest example is Carney lying about Trump respecting our sovereignty in his March phone call. Made Carney look like the guy who could beat Trump. Every single Liberal ad has a mention of Trump, hes the boogeyman to distract from 10 years of failed policies. Tons of Liberal voters are now gaslit to believe Carney is "change" despite his policies being almost lockstep with Trudeau, and his cabinet almost identical.
@MilEME09 Pollievre has been unequivocally clear about his opposition to changing our abortion laws, especially after having 10 years of majority government to change them if they wanted to. It's impossible to convince ABC types that this abortion debate is a strawman argument and distraction, so I'm not going to bother with you.
