Well the VDV solved that with their BMD “convertible model”, just ride in the open top seating…I mean who new having the troop compartment essentially under the turret would be awkward

I wonder how that briefed or how it went from BMD-1 to BMD-4 and no one ever stoped to consider the dismount losses. I guess 56 years isn’t enough time to make a change…

BMDs are open top bycrewParatrooper choice. There’s internal seating it’s just awful.

The PROTECTOR RWS includes a network-based Fire Control System which enables features like:

Network and Wireless operations (UGV or stationary platforms)
Manned-Unmanned Teaming capability for remote control on vehicle or by dismounted personnel
