Infantry Vehicles

I like that they pretty much admit the BMP3 is a pile of shit design.
Well that wasn’t exactly an unknown, but I was surprised the Russians admitted that. Their tank evaluation was also remarkably frank.

I was suprised that Russian 30mm don't have APFSDS rounds. Wow.

Even their tank evaluations in WWII were pretty good and very technical based.

I mean who new having the troop compartment essentially under the turret would be awkward

Well the VDV solved that with their BMD “convertible model”, just ride in the open top seating…

I wonder how that briefed or how it went from BMD-1 to BMD-4 and no one ever stoped to consider the dismount losses. I guess 56 years isn’t enough time to make a change…

Still beats the BTR with the door in between two of the wheels.

In WW2, the dismounts rode on the outside of the tank on the upper decks as "desants."
Why would they worry about IFV's when they use people as soft armour on their AFV's?

BMDs are open top by crew choice. There’s internal seating it’s just awful.
