"We" as in the meddling West.My only question about your proposed solution is...Who is the "we" that are paying the Palestinians to relocate?
(Or am I overthinking this?)

It has to be the west. No muslim state will accept Palestinians into their country. My only question about your proposed solution is...Who is the "we" that are paying the Palestinians to relocate?

And neither should we. After how many years of brainwashing their terrorist ways will come with them.It has to be the west. No muslim state will accept Palestinians into their country.
Nuance? He’ll never have a viral meme with that!I’m impressed by the balance and nuance in the position put out by MP Anthony Housefather:
Devil’s advocate: what’s your read of the chances of getting money from Muslim states to get ‘er done in lieu of hosting? Different argument than where they’d physically go, but what do see as the odds of getting $ help from the greaterTeam Crescent community? It has to be the west. The tenents of their own religion supposedly cover that. In Islam, charity should be an ongoing activity, not just when the need arises. Charity should be part of the very fiber of your personality as a Muslim.Devil’s advocate: what’s your read of the chances of getting money from Muslim states to get ‘er done in lieu of hosting? "Be steadfast in prayer, practice regular charity, and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship)" (2:43).
"Worship none but Allah. treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practice regular charity" (2:83).
"Be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity. Whatever good you send forth for your souls before you, you shall find it with Allah. For Allah sees well all that you do" (2:110).
"They ask thee what they should spend in charity. Say: Whatever you spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever you do that is good, Allah knows it well" (2:215).
"Charity is for those in need, who, in Allah's cause are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land, seeking (For trade or work)" (2:273).
"Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (2:274).
"Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity. For He loves not creatures ungrateful and wicked" (2:276).
"Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (2:277).
"If the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time until it is easy for him to repay. But if you remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if you only knew" (2:280).
We've seen this before in other nations. Including those in Europe.I think at the present time, the thing that no one wants to admit, is that there isn't a viable solution to this conflict. The West Bank is culturally significant to both sides. In sure Israel would love to disengage from the Gaza Strip if they could do it without a potential repeat of October 7th.
And as long as a sizable portion of the Palestinians support groups that do not recognize the existence of Israel and activity support a second Holocaust against the Jews there will never be a solution.
Maybe if they can go a few generations without shooting at each other, something might come of it, but I'm not too hopeful in the short term.
Umm Russia, albeit for slightly different reasons, comes to mind. We've seen this before in other nations. Including those in Europe.
IF you could take ALL the kids under 6 years of age, whisk them away to a more reasonable country that had a real education system besides the "kill all Jews, infidels and apostates" schools in about 50 years we MIGHT see a breakthrough.
You’re correct. So we put up with wholesale murder and genocide.Yeah, historically “round up the population’s kids and take them away to learn something different” basically never makes you the good guys.
Kidnapping an entire population’s children to ‘reeducate them’ just means now you’re doing atrocity too; it doesn’t mean you’re fixing anything else already happening. And watch what a population does when you try to take its kids en masse. Watch what anyone sympathetic to them does. You’re correct. So we put up with wholesale murder and genocide.
Canada should pretty much stop any international relations that are not directly related to trade. Everything else is a joke. We are not a moral authority and haven't been this century.
I bet you weren't expecting THAT answer, were ya @The Bread Guy!?The tenents of their own religion supposedly cover that. In Islam, charity should be an ongoing activity, not just when the need arises. Charity should be part of the very fiber of your personality as a Muslim.
All of the passages are from the Second Surah, written after the move to Madina which was to be the political and social centre of Islam. Charity is noted as one of the basic and important aspects of Islam in that charity is right there with prayer, to identify true believers. Regular charity means all the time and ongoing. Not just special circumstances.
Now, having said all that and identifying the utmost importance of charity to Islam, why do Islamic nations shun the Palestinians and refuse to help them? It would seem to me that the people of the Arab nations, who know the Palestinians better than anyone, have good reason to ignore one of their most important tenenets to the religion of Islam, when dealing with Palestine.
They have been, in a round about way for a long time, telling us to stay clear for our own good. They don’t want them as a state in the region, otherwise they would advocate for it. They don’t though. Statehood would legitimize Palestine and they would no longer be able to avoid or ignore them.
I think that answers your question. If not, you know where to find me.![]()
