Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

Thankfully, we came of age before Smartphones.

If a young person was interested in Politics, they could sit with their parents and watch the 30 - minute news report at 6 o'clock , or buy a newspaper.

I guess the Internet might call that that "Fake news". Lol
It's a double edged sword, in it's own way...

When I first became interested in politics that was all we had - the evening news & our daily newspaper.

It kept things relatively simple.

...

Now with smart phones and AI, kids see a lot more of what's happening on both sides of a conflict (and not just the 8 second clip the evening news MIGHT show) AND read a brief synopsis of recent history that has led up said event

The end result being that kids now, once they become interested in the news, don't just have a starting point like we did - but they have a launch platform.

When I was a teenager, all I could so was watch the news & take in whatever media I could on something of interest.

Now, with social media & even AI from a year ago, teens can begin to engineer solutions to problems in ways people could never even have dreamed of

Whether it was that guy who used AI to treat his dog's cancer, or someone looking at resource conflicts and using these tools to design synthetic versions of what countries go to war for...the future looks a lot more different than the past does.

Especially when people start to master using AI & 3D printing together. As AI gets more advanced by the day it seems, 3D printing is also making HUGE advancements (it just doesn't get the air time that AI does)

NDP must just hoping that he calls an election. A chance to become a real party again and all the money that goes along with it.
That makes me wonder...if the NDP isn't considered a real party anymore, what is the Green Party considered??

Major newspapers have standards,

Ethical Journalism

A Handbook of Values and Practices for the News and Opinion Departments

Not sure what ethical standards , if any , there are for what algorithms send into Smartphones.

Maybe that's why I still go to the library. They separate fiction from non-fiction.
