Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

Gilles Duceppe endorsing a liberal candidate in tomorrow's by election? What in the world?

Not to mention it allows him to remain ignorant of Beijing's sympathizers in his caucus. They are not as plentiful as in the LPC caucus, but they are there.
Exactly. Now he can remain willfully ignorant while Carney can willfully ignore it. Certainly Poilievres is the greater sin.

Let's be real here Micheal Ma switched sides,
Be real? Sure. You guys all cheer floor crossing "as being democratic blah, blah, blah..." So the LIBERALS now take ownership of their CCP man, Michael Ma.

Don't try to fluff this one off on the CPC. You steal the MPs, you take the good, the bad and the UGLY.

Let's be real here Micheal Ma switched sides, his views didnt suddenly change, his pro china views are as much a stain on the CPC as they are the LPC.

Whaaaaat? We were just commenting above about MPs crossing the floor because they're following their conscience.

Seems to me Michael Ma left the Conservative party for one that aligns more with his pro-Beijin views. No wonder Ma didn't like the CPC. "Just as much a stain" is a huge stretch.

Slightly different wishbone question: is knowing and not acting on problems better or worse than choosing not to know problems and not being able to act?

This one is hilarious and worth a watch. Perhaps a future CPC leader?

So what part of the video did you find most insightful? The childish editing to make it look like the interviewer was stuttering? The commentator making jokes about Rosemary Barton's weight? Her "$10,000 per month grocery bill"? The East Asian Conservative MP not having a "normal Canadian name" that he's "tired of trying to pronounce"?

If this is the sexist, racist BS that you find amusing and are using to inform your political thought then I can only shake my head.

Good question. Knowing and not acting is worse. Welcoming them with open arms in a move to obtain a majority government is double worse.

Michael Ma was probably just obeying orders. His riding has been a cesspool for years now.

The problem with the CPC is if and or when PP is gone, they will try to find their next unserious edgelord type who will delight in eating apples instead presenting a serious alternative to the LPC.

These types of videos, Juno news, Northern perspective, others in the Canadian youtube sphere, judging by the comments, view anyone but conservatives as nothing less than evil, which makes for finding a person to lead the CPC who is willing to expand the tent a real challenge.

I would love a Michael Chong type, Rona Ambrose, Lisa Raitt, but I know for a fact someone who just owns the libs will win.

I deleted the video. Some of his insults were a little over the line. The other insults (about Rosie missing obvious political cues) were more on point.

That being said, I couldn't find the original snippet on CBC, only as part of a longer (much longer) video.

Give it a rest. Seriously. Northern Perspective and Juno news are not even on the same level as Society Unveiled. Spare us the pearl clutching, have a look at the crap you have you said or posted in the past.

And since we have some pearl clutching going on, may I remind everyone that MP Gladu of the NOW Liberals was the one who tweeted out a fake picture of former MP Chrystia Freeland depicted wearing a dildo.

How far back do those memories go?

Masterful use of exclamation points. Lovely adjectives. Objective. Insightful. Everything that media used to be.

That was the interview where Poilievre called out the bullshit "people are saying" reporter right? Guy who couldn't say who was actually saying anything?
I'm not going to say that this is all PP fault(although I suspect his team pushed that clip hard for the base), but what came from that interview?

To me, it was, hey, look at how PP owns this reporter. Look at how cool he is dismissing this reporter while chomping on an apple.

Which, if your goal is to be a successful owner of the libs, bravo, well done.

If your goal is come across as a serious leader of a major political party and maybe leader of the country, no, not a success.

But when it comes to performative nonsense like that or a serious Conservative, again, Chong, Ambrose, or Raitt, the CPC base will just pick Cooper or someone of that ilk to replace Pierre and call it a day.
