Scott Thompson is Canada's Queen.

Episode 1 What GIF by Prime Video Canada

Good news in general...

Way less polls being released now that the majority has been secured by the LPC.

Finally.

Where's his source? The graph is current data not future projections
it was based on the immigration growth of the past few years and was being posted to facebook as of last year.

From google AI (take with a grain of skepticism)

The OECD ranks Canada among the lowest of its member nations for GDP per capita growth, particularly over the last decade. While aggregate GDP has shown resilience, persistent population growth has masked weak per-capita performance, resulting in Canada having one of the weakest standards-of-living growth rates in the developed world.

  • Long-Term Projection: The OECD projects Canada will rank dead last (38th out of 38) in real GDP per capita growth among member countries from 2020–2030 and 2030–2060.
  • Recent Performance: From 2014 to 2022, Canada ranked third-lowest out of 30 OECD countries for average growth in GDP per capita.
  • Post-Pandemic Recovery: Canada experienced the 5th weakest recovery in real GDP per capita among OECD countries between 2019 and 2022.
  • Income Decline: Canadian GDP per capita fell below the OECD average in 2022, and it is projected to fall further behind, with projections suggesting it could be US \(\$8,617\) below the average by 2060.
  • Context: This underperformance is largely attributed to weak productivity growth, low capital investment per worker, and high population growth outpacing economic output. (Source is OECD)
Conversely, in terms of aggregate (total) GDP growth, Canada has often performed closer to the middle of the pack due to high population increases, but this does not translate to higher individual prosperity.

OECD reports…
Refers to per capita growth.

One observation is that Canada's per capita GDP is already pretty high, so there might just be less room for improvement.

Another observation, though, is that Canada's per capita GDP is not as high as the US and the OECD seems to think the US is going to do well.

Not a good indicator for Canada.

I can't remember if it was Toronto Sun or The Hub or whatever, but they said USA GDP gowth was projected to be double of Canada's this year and next year

Pretty much, not to mention the evidence provided doesnt support the statement
No, but if you search the topic, the evidence exists, in this case. Whether Canada occupies position #38 I don't know, but the numbers are very unfavourable. Hiding behind an "Aha!" doesn't make things better for us.

If you want to deep dive, go for it

A few here don't want to hear news thats not so good for Canada. Either choose to face reality or keep ignoring it pretending it’s not so.
Some of us like actual evidence. Can you please point us to what on that website projects Canada’s GDP growth relative to other states by 20260? The onus is on someone making or defending a claim to back it up.

Any GDP Growth projection gets pretty questionable any more than a few years out.

Not to mention GDP per capita should be accelerating upward as immigration is clawed back

The tweet passes the truthiness test, all that matters to some.
