Perfectly normal for a senior Conservative strategist who got Ford elected with three consecutive majorities to say this:

Carrying costs for the bridge are being paid whether open or closed. Some of the expenses covered under the agreement as well.

I'd say the bridge opening now would be better.

What concerns me more is this:

a. A Harvard-educated former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England made what appears to be a surprisingly amateur mistake; or

b. Prime Minister Carney knowingly provided inaccurate information.
