I believe the intent is to have the default be Army Blue now.
Is it? Or is just up to corps to determine? I’ll take a gander around acims tomorrow maybe.

I would agree. Partly though...
We needed amalgamation of a lot of efforts, and we got those in most cases; unification (including dress and insignia) was overkill and did more damage than good.
I hope the ghost of Old Man Heyller is tortured in seeing it all unraveling 60 years after the fact...
The BN I saw on SPO stated that Rifle Green is going to be solely a Light Infantry option. Support components will be moving to Army Blue, armoured will be sticking with black, the line infantry (less Highland/Irish units) will have to decide between Khaki or Army Blue.Is it? I still find it hilarious a photo of him in front of a sailor in Square Rig was used in all the articles about his passing.I would agree. Partly though...

I think "default" is meant in the sense that multiple corps use blue.Is it? Or is just up to corps to determine? I’ll take a gander around acims tomorrow maybe.
That happened almost seven years ago.The BN I saw on SPO stated that Rifle Green is going to be solely a Light Infantry option. Support components will be moving to Army Blue, armoured will be sticking with black, the line infantry (less Highland/Irish units) will have to decide between Khaki or Army Blue.
I am happy to be corrected.
SO....will the PPCLI get a green beret? Being the words "Light Infantry" are in the name....although we have never been truly "light"The BN I saw on SPO stated that Rifle Green is going to be solely a Light Infantry option. With the RCE, RCMS, RCLS, and "Land DEU" members of various branches (Legal, PA, PSEL, etc) all opting out and sticking with rifle green. That happened almost seven years ago.

Except ballcaps... that's just slovenlyArmies suredo love hats.
My hot take is they kinda do look slovenly. My other ballcap style hot take is patrol caps are inferior in every way to boonie caps.Except ballcaps... that's just slovenly![]()
Could it possibly be that Rifle Regiments will be keeping the Rifle Green berets? The BN I saw on SPO stated that Rifle Green is going to be solely a Light Infantry option. Are the peaked caps not supposed to be worn by most units with the new uniform?Three, but more use green.
Light infantry by tradition or by role lol. It seems like a weird thing to connect to the new service dress given that berets are worn in all orders of dress.
AllegedlyAre the peaked caps not supposed to be worn by most units with the new uniform?
