Updated Army Service Dress project

Other than the WO vs Major confusion, I like the Crown>Crown with laurels>Crest symbols for WO>CWO. For my career, the WO was someone who came into a situation and with dignity and grace resolved, unlike many of the snarling, busy Sergeants. The MWO & CWO were also mostly directing from afar and only personally involved either to give kind counsel or directly and sternly discipline you. To me a very different leadership approach as opposed to the Corporal>Master Corporal>Sargent very hands on leadership style.
Well put. On a point of privilege though, us sergeants are probably snarling because we saw three troopers defy the laws of physics and break a $30,000 piece of kit, found out a corporal is getting married to a stripper and just got a task from the SSM that needed to be finished 24 mins ago. The life of an SNCO 😂.

Having been a soldier on a ship my 'identity' was seconded to doing exactly as I was told by even the most junior sailor - especially anywhere near a working helicopter deck or landing craft bay ;)

That's how you stay alive. The sea, she wants to kill you .... well, and the helicopter decapitate you given a chance.

The Corporal is marrying the Lt's ex-wife?

For the RSM's daughter, it's a different movie.

Not this time. Base Commander's eldest daughter....
Legend has it somebody knocked up the Base Commanders daughter at Cornwallis in the early 70s.
Story was that the offending party so to speak while never identified. He'd been traced to one particular serial .
And over the course of the next couple of years everyone in that platoon some how managed to get separated from the service for one reason or another .
Probably not a word of truth to it but I suspect we've all heard variations on a theme.
