Canadian Expeditionary Force - Matrix Project

A number of us are working on a project to tie in battalion listings, war diaries, reference sites and general unit history into a web site matrix as part of the CEFSG study group.  I recognize a few names here that frequent that forum as well.  I also see that there is a lot of valuable information on this forum that we can use in the Matrix, if army.ca members and "officers" have no objection.

The purpose of the Matrix is not to create a formal ORBAT but rather to pull together information on the "Big Picture" so that the "grand relative" can not only find out where grampa was in 1917 but also what was he part of in CEF organization.

For any researchers looking for the Canadian Expeditionary Force Study Group site (CEFSG) let me not here that the site was relocated in July 2012 to a new server in Canada.

We also now have a Wiki Project do allow all members the opportunity to update the pages of the CEF Corps and Troops during the Great War of 1914-1919 here:  http://cefresearch.ca/wiki
