Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

Didn't somebody from the Administration say, not that long ago, that the concessions we had made up until that point gained them no love in Washington? Are any more going to be any better? I'm waiting for the 'give' from the US side.
The only give is to cut sectoral tariffs down to the lowest levels in American trading world, but thats not a really big give. And it sets the precedent for CUSMA that tariffs are acceptable.

I mean, if he can get a deal, get it, I guess, but I wouldnt lose sleep if either side decides to continue to duke it out.

If there's one thing Canada needs it's more fighting aged males with military experience from hostile countries that are paying Canadian children to shoot up and burn down buildings.

Former Iranian conscripts seeking asylum in Canada fear deportation

Related, we should have a cap on every country of origin, something like 7% like the US has, and within that cap, a limit on the number of unaccompanied men from any country, maybe 25%, with no corresponding cap on families, unaccompanied women and women with children.

So here I go again, making more friends here. Marc Nixon take on the recent political events

(Warning Not Liberal Friendly)

In all seriousness, at least watch the last five minutes on conflict of interest testimony

With a title and thumbnail like that - surely it will be a balanced and fair perspective. Slop like this has ruined the internet, left or right.

AI doesn’t call it Liberal unfriendly, just says this:

This video, presented by Marc Nixon, covers several political developments in Canada, focusing on Conservative Larry Brock's resignation, Canada-U.S. trade relations, and government conflict-of-interest regulations.

Key Topics:
• Larry Brock's Resignation: The host discusses Conservative MP Larry Brock's decision to step down after 18 years (0:05). He argues this move has been unfairly framed by some media outlets as a reflection of Pierre Poilievre's leadership, rather than the result of a difficult political environment (5:23-8:26).
• Canada-U.S. Trade Negotiations: The host analyzes recent reports regarding Canada’s efforts to engage the Trump administration to avoid upcoming 50% tariffs on goods (10:11). He characterizes the Canadian government's approach as a major capitulation, criticizing the reversal on policies regarding American alcohol imports and dairy quotas (13:33-17:59).
• Conflict of Interest Criticisms: The final segment highlights concerns regarding the Conflict of Interest Act in Canada, which the host describes as ineffective. He uses a clip from a committee meeting to argue that current laws allow for widespread financial conflicts among high-ranking officials and calls for stricter divestment requirements (18:42-21:20).

I'm still waiting for any of these news youtube channels to post about anything good happening in canada.

Because all of them were posting videos about recession, yet conspicuously none have posted a single video about recent good economic performances.

It's almost like....they aren't news channels, they are rage bait channels.

Or confirmation bias channels.
