Logistic Vehicle Modernization Project - Replacing everything from LUVW to SHLVW

Your complaint is about MSVS? MSVS is a support vehicle, designed for and used by supporters.
My complaint is that a MSVS is wasted as the Met Section vehicle. It's a capable vehicle that could/should be put to better use elsewhere, while the Met folks use a less capable, but still somewhat protected vehicle to continue to provide support.

I ran a Met Det out of the back of a CP Bison in 2007, and Met kit has gotten smaller. Anything larger than a Sprinter is a waste of space for Met.

Of course... we didn't have the Norden Bombsight ;)

It's been a while since there's been a post in here, anyone have any details or tidbits of interest about any of the projects under this umbrella? The only one I've seen is some insider images of renders of the Senator MRAP SMP, which could potentially be the Roshel submission for LUV. https://www.reddit.com/r/RoshelArmor/s/8r3ECoap3S

Still no indication on the Armatec submission. Hopefully we're getting close to the project being awarded to the winner.

Anyone have news on LVM?

I assume you are tracking the selected manufacturer that was announced one year ago?
Go Power Team!

It’s a GDLS booth, so that’s a LAV 6+
… If it had anything special, you might find info in one of our LAV threads.

I kinda like the looks of it but: the M37 3/4 ton begat the Chevy 5/4 ton which begat the LSVW 7/4 ton which now begets the LVM(Light) 44/4 ? ton Zetros.

I've tried to find specifications for the new Zetros based 4 x 4 LVM(Light) and the only thing I've found was the manufacturer's rating of 11.6 ton max payload. It sure looks bigger than my old Deuce and a half gun tractor and a lot bigger than my old 3/4 ton TPU command post.

One more bitch from an early slide deck on the LVM project which showed only 12 "arty" CP versions of the light truck. That exactly equals the number of RegF arty gun troops - nothing for the ResF gun batteries. I presume other ResF corps will have the same limited access to these vehicles. Not sure where exactly that stands now.

Maybe the plan is to use the general CP for the reserves? Is there a big difference between a normal CP and an Arty CP? Maybe a LUV CP instead? We shall see.

Multiply both orders by ten and it might be enough.

It's more of a replacement for the MLVW. The lightest Mercedes offers those is 2½ ton. Which we do need something in that role, but that still leaves us without a proper LSVW replacement.

That's what it looked like to me when I first saw the selected vehicles. I'm wondering if the LUVW replacement might fill that gap. At the rate its going though . . .
