Logistic Vehicle Modernization Project - Replacing everything from LUVW to SHLVW

Add a zero to the numbers, and add a 6x6 5 to 7 ton Zetro to the mix and it should be good.
Do this and retire the internationals, then our main logistics fleets will all be the same chassis, with 80% parts commonality. The amount saved in maintenance, training and logistics would be huge.

My issue with the LVM trucks, is they are so tall, I get why they are but as a result you cant handle side bins for example on the MRT, or amb.

The 4xr Zetro is at least a 2½ ton. A good replacement for the MLVW, but not the LSVW.

Everything has gone up in size, the 8x8 zetro is basically a super heavy not an hl replacement. The cargo LUVs will be more close to the LS size.

So the LUVs will make better Ambulances, CPs and MRTs than the Zetros?

Can we do this or will the MSVS replacement require a competition?

So interesting, thanks probably to budget, a project to replace the MSVS milcot has started, since they apparently hit end of life in 2023. One would think the smart choice right now would be sole source add on the LVM for the medium platform for a common fleet

Best we can do is another orphan fleet that cant be deployed lol

Please, no more lol.

Real talk though the LVM light cargo would be perfect for the reserves. Something ML size is all we need. Give me a cargo, a flatbed or LHS for ammo and fuel and a fitter/CP/workshop variant. Good to go for our needs.
whats the payload comparison?

On a 4x4 chassis, you don't really need 11.6 tons of load carrying, normally your cargo's bulk out before weighing out. I also suspect that 11.6 ton figure is for 10% or less of it's operational cycle and may have other restrictions as well.
