“We” did not do anything to the M1117. The department published an RFP with requirements for a vehicle, and Textron produced a proposal based on a modification of their vehicle.

Thats the intent (at least MPs and Svc Bn) for the TAPVs that will be unaltered. A number (10-15 I think) per ARes armoured unit will be altered to the LCav standard if they do this, the remainder I believe will be kept as normal TAPVs.

What are these alterations of which you speak?

Do any involve lowering the ride height and getting rid of the top hamper to lower the centre of mass?
