Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle - RG-31, LAV Coyote, and (partial) G-Wagon Replacement

Oh boy, theres a team working on a plan to upgun the TAPVs...hilarity will ensue.

Don't worry, I got you. You can put them in the CARB as a tank trainer. We can get all the MGS turrets and ammo for cheap. Tell the working group I'll take $10 million for my consulting fee.

What organization does this “team” belong to?

I read something recently - can't recall where - that TLAVs are down to being counted by the handful.
Aside from the handful in-service, DND pays DEW Engineering to keep a quantity of these in preservation for the possibility that we develop a need/want to put some back on service.

I heard the RCA had a wild idea to make it a MLRS
I've never heard anything like that. It's already a very high vehicle. Can't see how you would add an MLRS module onto it without having it tip over in a strong breeze.

It does have enough capacity to make a decent OPV or STA platform with the right add on stations, but that makes them stand out and be priority targets within a LAV company. (There's a lot of benefit in looking like all the stuff around you when you are special :giggle:)

Probably good reason I only saw it in a power point once.

Could probably put a recover winch in the emergency escape hatch at the back, then add a couple spades, and a tool boxes for a MRV
