Yeah. Thought so.
Back in 2004 when the M109s were shitcanned and we were left with nothing but LG1s and C3s, the artillery's full fleet of tracked vehicles (M577s, M113s, M548s and M578s) were also withdrawn. That of course left the entire branch without any command post vehicles, ammo limbers or even gun and detachment tractors for many years. Everything was ad hoc'd into absurdity.
Things eventually stabilized (a bit) at least for Afghanistan where the M577s and M113 (TLAV versions) came back as CP vehicles, STA det vehicles, and even the guns' detachment vehicles to haul the crew around and provide local security. Regiments in Canada were poorly equipped for well over a decade having only a few of the vehicles needed for operations and frequently nowhere near enough for training.
I don't want to have the arty wear a hair shirt here - nobody was well equipped over the last two decades - but it's been ridiculous. It's unsurprising that a small number of tracked M577s are VOR with a logistics and maintenance system now geared heavily to fleets of wheeled vehicles.
